NORWOOD — A Massena man was jailed Sunday on 10 charges after he intentionally struck another person’s vehicle during a domestic dispute, according to St. Lawrence County sheriff’s deputies.
Scott J. Ashley, no age listed, allegedly struck an unnamed female's vehicle with his own vehicle intentionally causing damage, officers said.
During the investigation deputies discovered that from Aug. 16-21 that Ashley had gone to the victim's house on three occasions, entering her residence, after having been told to stay away.
Deputies allege that on one of the three occasions that Ashley damaged property inside the residence that belonged to the victim.
Ashley was charged with fourth-degree stalking, second-degree burglary, third-degree criminal mischief, fourth-degree criminal mischief and second-degree harassment.
He was also charged with reckless driving, following too closely, leaving the scene of a property-damage accident and two counts of criminal trespassing, deputies said.
An order of protection was issued in favor of the victim.
An order of protection was also issued on behalf of a neighbor who was the victim of harassment from Ashley, officers said.
Deputies said the unnamed neighbor attempted to assist the victim at the time of accident and was harassed by Ashley.
Ashley was arraigned in Canton court and remanded to St. Lawrence County Jail on $500 bail or $1,000 bond.
