POTSDAM — A Massena man was charged with driving while intoxicated after police allegedly observed a person in the trunk area of the vehicle, according to village police.
Police said they charged 38-year old Jordan M. Beard with first-offense DWI on Market Street at 12:38 a.m. on Dec. 30.
Police reportedly observed a passenger in the trunk area of the SUV Beard was driving.
Officers determined Beard to be impaired by alcohol and took him to the police station where a chemical breath test determined his blood-alcohol content to be .12%, police said.
He was cited and released.
