MASSENA -- Due to the recent dramatic increase in COVID-19 cases and the countywide state of emergency, the Massena Public Library is suspending in-person services and computer use until Nov. 25. Free wifi is available outside the library building. No password is necessary.
They will continue to offer curbside pickup of all materials, including books, audiobooks, DVDs, games, and virtual and storytime craft bags.
People can request items through the online catalog, or call the library if they don’t have access to a computer or are unfamiliar with the reserve system. Interlibrary loans will continue.
Library officials say people who aren't sure what to read next can ask them for help. They will suggest authors or titles based on their interests.
"We’d also be pleased to just put together a selection of new books for you," the library wrote on their Facebook post announcing the changes.
Printing and copying will still be available. Call the library at 315-769-9914 for details.
Notary services are available by appointment only.
Library hours are Monday through Friday 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
