MASSENA -- The Massena Central music program will get a couple of new instruments, thanks to a $4,000 donation from the Massena Music Friends.
The money will purchase two bass clarinets, one for the high school and one for the junior high.
Carol Pulley of the Massena Music Friends said band directors Dave Alderson and John Hunkins consider the instruments βa priority need.β
The money will flow through the Northern New York Community Foundation.
βIt is indeed our pleasure to be able to make this donation and fill a need for these new instruments,β Pulley wrote in a letter to the district.
