MASSENA -- After being deadlocked in July, the Board of Education on Thursday appointed a vice president.
The board voted 7-2 to name Paul Haggett as board vice president. Trustees Kevin Peretta and Jason Premo voted no.
In July, with seven of nine members present, the board voted 4-3 to for Haggett. He needed five votes for the confirmation. At that time, Premo had nominated Peretta as a second candidate.
However, on Thursday, Trustee Robert Leblanc nominated Peretta and there were no other nominations. Leblanc had also nominated Haggett back in July.
