MASSENA -- U. S. Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 01-01 is seeking volunteers.
Auxiliary members assist the active duty Coast Guard personnel, wear similar uniforms, and have many of the same duties. Auxiliary members assist at the Massena Coast Guard station.
Training is available for volunteers.
Flotilla activities include conducting boating safety classes, manning an information booth at the Sportsman’s Expo, patrolling the St. Lawrence River, performing vessel examinations, and assisting in search and rescue operations.
The flotilla meets the third Wednesday of each month at the Massena V.F.W., W. Hatfield Street, at 5:30 p.m.
