MASSENA – Massena-based rock band Doc Rhythm is currently leading with 398 votes for The Ernie Ball Battle of the Bands contest in the Syracuse Region. At stake is an opportunity to share the stage with several national acts including Staind, Shinedown, Papa Roach, Godsmack and more.
Close behind is Syracuse rockers, Just a Memory, with 324 votes
Doc Rhythm features Ben LaValley on vocals & guitar, Matt Wargo on bass, and Greg Currier on drums. The band has released two full-length albums, won multiple awards, named artist to watch by the nationally published magazine “Skope,” and has performed publicly on a regular basis over the last two years.

Rensselaer Falls band Tyrade is also competing the contest, but not against Doc Rhythm for the Syracuse venue. Tyrade has its sites set on the Darien Lake event and remains in first place with 489 votes.
Both bands are leading in the competition for their respective venues.
