CANTON -- The St. Lawrence County Soil and Water Conservation District will offer a manure applicator training March 10 from 9:30 a.m. to noon at Cornell Cooperative Extension, 2043B State Highway 68.
Karl Czymmek from Cornell Pro-Dairy will hold an informative and interactive presentation for manure applicators – both farm employees and custom haulers.
He will cover what farm staff needs to know and watch for in terms of the farm’s environmental risk while spreading manure. What should be considered if there is a manure spill will also be discussed.
There is no cost to attend, however attendees should RSVP by 4:30 p.m. on Monday, March 7.
Light refreshments will be served.
