POTSDAM – A Clarkson University student who reportedly had a blood alcohol content three times the legal limit was found passed out behind the wheel of a running vehicle in the McDonald’s drive-thru by village police at 12:35 a.m. Friday.
Peter N. Cannellos, 23, of Westford, Mass., reportedly told police he had returned to town for a party, and had driven to get some cheeseburgers at McDonald’s.
Cannellos was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated when a breathalizer test allegedly showed his BAC was .23 percent, nearly three times the legal limit of .08 percent, and well above the .18 threshold for aggravated DWI.
He was issued an appearance ticket for Potsdam Village Court on July 13.
