POTSDAM -- Con Mahoney of Mahoney’s Auto Mall in Potsdam donated $2,000 to Potsdam Chamber Executive Director Marylee Ballou and board president Janice Adderley for the Summer Festival Fireworks Fund.
“As this is the 50th Summer Festival,” Ballou explained, “the chamber wanted to celebrate the milestone with fireworks. This donation has moved our fundraising efforts to a new level. Ms. Adderley has been advocating for fireworks for many years and is very pleased to see that with the generous support of our businesses it will happen this year.”
In 2016, two fundraising events were held for the fireworks fund….a Stop –n- Shop event at Chilly Delight and a mini golf tournament at Swing Time Mini Golf. A Bowling Fun Night is scheduled for March 23 at Market Lanes in Potsdam.
“We have all sixteen lanes sponsored by businesses,” Ballou said, “and many will be sending players, but we will have at least 3 lanes open for others to bowl. The event is from 6-8 p.m. Contact the chamber at 315-274-9000 for more information.
