MADRID -- The stylishly funny musical comedy “Legally Blonde” will be coming to the stage at Madrid-Waddington Central School for 8 p.m. performances March 29, 30, and 31.
Based on the popular 2001 MGM movie of the same name, it stars Elizabeth L. Ruddy, a senior, as Elle Woods, a University of California at Los Angeles sorority president and fashion major who goes to Harvard Law School to win back her ex-boyfriend who dumped her in favor of a “Jackie, not a Marilyn.”
The show is directed by High School Principal Joseph Ruddy and features songs written by Laurence O’Keefe and Nell Benjamin.
Performances are in the school auditorium. Reserved seating tickets are available for $7 to $12 by calling 322-5746, ext. 172. Some tickets will be available at the door.
