MACOMB -- The mother of four- and five-year-old children who found walking down a highway by themselves has been charged with endangering the welfare of a child.
St. Lawrence County Sheriff's deputies, responding to a call, found the two children walking along St. Rt. 58.
The children told the deputy they were walking to their father's house.
Katie J. Chapin, 24, 6207 St. Rt. 58, Macomb, was issued an appearance ticket charging her with two count of endangering the welfare of a child, returnable to Macomb Town Court.
