Lucille A. Schwartfigure, 80, Ogdensburg

OGDENSBURG -- Lucille A. Schwartfigure, age 80 of Ogdensburg passed away on Sunday (February 25, 2024) at her home with her family by her side.

There will be a Celebration of Her Life held at a time to be determined in the spring.

Burial will be later in Pinehill Cemetery.

Surviving are three children, Dawn (James) Stevenson of Ogdensburg, Vaughne Barkley of Potsdam and Levi Schwartfigure III of Ogdensburg; grandchildren Nakaya Schwartfigure of Ogdensburg, Randi (Christopher) Hamlin of Dansville, Jeremy Barkley of Newburg, Marisol (Michael) Simmons of Newburg, Brandie (Arthur) Besio of Saranac, Britney (Billy) Robertson of Waddington, Destiny (Darin) Delosh of Potsdam, Stephen Ashley Jr. of Massena; 12 great-grandchildren; special nephews Gordon (Mary) Cameron of Ogdensburg and Dale Legault of Ogdensburg; along with many nieces, nephews & cousins.

Lucille was predeceased by two husbands, Paul Schwartfigure Sr. and Levi Schwartfigure Jr.; a son, Paul “Jay” Schwartfigure, a grandson, Martin Barkley; three brothers, Lawrence, Edmund “Jr” and James Dishaw and a sister, Sally Cameron.

She was born on May 13, 1943, in Ogdensburg, a daughter of the late Edmund & Harriett Robinson.

She later graduated from Ogdensburg Schools.

During her career she worked at A. Barton Hepburn Hospital as a Certified Nursing Assistant, Past-Time as a bar tender, a beautician out of her home and co-owned L & A Window Cleaning.

Lucille enjoyed camping, fishing, crocheting, spending time with grandchildren and going to the casino.
