CANTON -- Organizers have announced a last call for exhibitors, demonstrators, vendors and workshop presentations at the Local Living Festival, on the Canton Village Green Saturday, Sept. 26 from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. The deadline is Sept. 17 for most activities. Many more volunteers are also needed and encourage to be in touch. Interested individuals are urged to contact organizers right away for inclusion in the official program, the festival website at bit.ly/1hO7fIt, and various social and traditional media outlets. The Festival Hotline number is 347-4223, extension # (the "pound" or "hashtag" sign) or they can be reached by email at LocalLivingFestival@gmail.com.
The Local Living Festival will feature dozens of demonstrations and exhibitors as well as educational seminars and workshops on topics as varied as small-scale renewable energy and energy conservation, food preservation, healthy eating, traditional agricultural skills, environmentally-friendly technology, forest management, low-impact wood burning, "green" building techniques, simple living skills and modern homesteading within community.
The Local Living Festival is child-friendly, with hourly planned activities throughout both days for both children and teens.
