CANTON — Jacelyn Lazore joins the St. Lawrence University women's lacrosse staff.
"We are very excited to have Jacelyn join our Saints' family," said head coach Tom Ryan. "She brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to the position. She is well respected in the lacrosse community and is actively involved with mentoring younger players from Akwesasne and those involved in the Haudenosaunee National Developmental Programs. Our team has already benefited from her insight."
Lazore brings 10-plus years of experience in training athletes and enhancing team performance, including four years as a DI lacrosse player in the ACC at Virginia Tech.
Lazore has worked as a design coordinator for the Mohawk Council of Akwesasne, an assistant coach at the ADVNC Lacrosse Club, a Sankofa Lacrosse Clinician for US Lacrosse, and an assistant coach for the Akwesasne Ride Lacrosse Academy.
As a student-athlete, Lazore played in 28 games for the Hokies and tallied 15 goals and 10 assists for 25 points. She scored two game winners, picked up 11 ground balls, and caused eight turnovers. She was a Dean's List and honor roll student, a member of the National Society of Leadership and Success and an ACC Unite Award recipient.
Lazore graduated with a Bachelor of Science Apparel, Housing, and Resource Management from Virginia Tech and earned her master's in project management from Syracuse University.
