CANTON -- The last of the Stillman Foote Running Club’s three 2017 Summer Sunset 5K Series races takes place at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 8 on the cross-country course on the St. Lawrence University campus.
This will end the 38th season for the series, which attracts hundreds of runners and walkers of all abilities from northern New York and Canada to compete on the fast, flat 3.1 mile loop course. Participants who will be competing can earn a coveted Summer Sunset T-shirt, awarded to those completing all three events.
In addition to the 5K race, a one-mile fun run will be held. Designed for young runners, walkers, and beginning runners, the run starts at 7:15 p.m., prior to the 5K start. Competitors in all three of this summer’s one-mile runs will also receive T-shirts.
Registration will begin at 6:30 p.m. across Park Street from the Augsbury Physical Education Center. Fee is $2 (US & Canadian).
If thunder seems imminent registration will take place at the SLU Stafford Fitness Center Lobby.
