CANTON -- TAUNY, 53 Main St., will host “Kids Cook: Macaroni and Cheese with Will Trithart and Rose Rivezzi” on Wednesday, Nov. 16 from 3:30 to 5 p.m.
Children are invited to the TAUNY kitchen on November 16th to get in the Thanksgiving spirit and prepare a delicious dinner to bring home to their families.
Local cooks Will Trithart and Rose Rivezzi will lead a cooking workshop to teach young participants how to cook a tasty and nutritious macaroni and cheese with squash dish, which the kids will bring home to share with their families that evening.
In this program, kids learn how to create a simple, seasonable meal just in time to practice their cooking skills at home this holiday season.
Participating children must be old enough to chop vegetables with a knife and work with food around a hot stove/oven. Kids not old enough to use this equipment should be accompanied by an adult or older sibling who can help.
Pre-registration is required for this program. Interested families can contact TAUNY at 315-386-4289 to register their child. Children should also bring a container with them to the workshop to bring their dish home.
The cost is $12 per child or pair, if a child is being accompanied by an adult; and $10 for TAUNY Friends.
The program is made possible with support from Save-A-Lot.
