Kendra Christian McHenry (Newman) 32, passed away unexpectedly on February 20, 2024 at her home in Palm Desert, California. Born December 11, 1991 in Ogdensburg, NY to Natalie J. Newman, Canton, NY and Joseph J.Stagnitta, Malone, NY. Kendra leaves behind her partner in life David Hower, Palm Desert, CA, her beloved children Izzabelle and Rowen, maternal siblings Brian and Alexis Bradford, Palm Desert, CA, paternal siblings Dylan and Jacob Stagnitta, Hickory, NC, and Mathew Stagnitta Malone, NY, Maternal Grandparents John C. and Brenda M. Newman, Rensselaer Falls, NY, Paternal Grandmother Cynthia Williamson, Malone, NY, Step father Robert Ramsay & step-siblings, Maternal Uncle, John A. Newman & family, Paternal Aunt Serena Stagnitta & family, and many long standing friends.

Kendra graduated from St. Lawrence BOCES with a CNA degree. She made lasting connections and cherished friendships while working at Fused Solutions in Potsdam, NY, Best Western’s The County Seat in Canton, NY, and Kitchen 86 El Paseo in Palm Desert, CA. Kendra was celebrated by her warm smile, contagious laughter, ease of friendship, and a genuine empathy towards others.

Beyond her professional pursuits, Kendra found joy in her passions for music, art, travel, hiking, gaming, cooking, and nature. She was an advocate for animal rescue and found fulfillment in interior painting, decorating, and remodeling. Above all, Kendra cherished moments spent with her children, family, friends, and her beloved pets. Her acts of kindness and inclusivity touched the lives of many.

Cremation services were gracefully conducted by Rubidoux Mortuary, Riverside, California. In honor of Kendra’s memory, a celebration of Life was held at Best Western University Inn, Laurentian Room on March 2, 2024. Additionally, an intimate tree planting ceremony was held in Palm Desert, CA, on February 25, 2024. Contributions in Kendra’s name can be made to the Potsdam Humane Society where she dedicated her time during her high school years.

Kendra’s absence leaves a void in our lives, but her spirit will forever remain in our hearts. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and  oved her, but her memory will live on in our hearts forever. May she find eternal peace, and may her memory continue to inspire kindness and compassion in us all.
