POTSDAM – Jazz guitarist Paul Meyers will perform a concert Sunday, Dec. 4, at 3 p.m. at the Potsdam Public Museum as a fundraiser for the museum. The concert will also be available via Zoom.
The Potsdam area resident will play old standards, including Harold Arlen and Ray Noble, and more recent songs by John Lennon and Joni Mitchell. He will also play a few original tunes, a Brazilian samba by Ivan Lins, and a holiday special surprise.
Meyers is described as “one of the most eloquent jazz guitarists since Kenny Burrell” by James Gavin, of the New York Times.
Attendees will also be able to see the Raquette River exhibit currently on display at the museum located at 2 Park St., Civic Center, Potsdam.
For those interested in viewing by Zoom, send an email to paulclarkemeyers@gmail.com to receive a link on Sunday morning. Donations can be sent to Paul Meyer’s Venmo account under paulcmeyers.
