CANTON -- An information session on new grants available through the Agriculture Energy Efficiency program will be held at Assemblywoman Addie Russell’s district office in Canton, around the back at 70 Main St., from 1:30 to 3 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 10.
The grants are designed to help farmers reduce energy usage.
The New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) is the administrating agency, and the meeting is sponsored by the assemblywoman and Cooperative Extension of St. Lawrence County.
Discussed will be grant applications and ways to decrease energy costs on the farm.
All types and sizes of agricultural enterprises can qualify. Anyone interested in attending may call 386-2037.
