The St. Lawrence University men's tennis team suffered a narrow 5-4 loss to Illinois Wesleyan on Thursday in Orlando, FL.
The Saints battled hard throughout the match, bringing four of the singles matches to super tiebreakers. Junior Tom Timpone earned a victory at No. 4 (6-2, 4-6, 6-3), while sophomore Matt Burke and first-year student Sam Mullin also came out on the winning side at No. 5 (4-6, 6-4, 6-4) and No. 6 (6-2, 3-6, 6-0), respectively.
Timpone teamed up with senior Chris Rogers to claim an 8-2 victory at No. 3 doubles.
The Saints will take on Mount St. Mary's tomorrow afternoon in their last match of their spring trip.
