CANTON -- The Health Initiative will host the annual meeting Thursday, March 14 from 4 to 5:30 p.m. to recognize individuals and groups who have contributed to Initiative programs.
Hermon-Dekalb Central School, “I Can Feel Better” peer leaders, Teen Leadership Council members Marissa Johnson and Darienne Judware, Busters Sports Bar Restaurant, Phillips Diner and Claxton-Hepburn Health Nuts will be recognized.
Special awards, including the Patrick "Bird" Kerr Worksite Wellness Champion Award, special recognition for the Cancer Services Program and the Annual Walter Lacks Award will also be given.
Highlights of current Initiative programs and new projects will be discussed and attendees can sample the winning recipes from the Jr. Iron Chef competition.
The meeting will be held at the Canton Pavilion.
