Former “Sex and the City” star Cynthia Nixon, who supports democratic socialism and full legalization of marijuana, received nearly half of all St. Lawrence County votes in the Democratic primary for governor Thursday.
Statewide, however, she received only one-third of all votes, with incumbent Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo easily winning the contest.
But in St. Lawrence County, Nixon garnered 49.11 percent of all votes, with 1852. Cuomo received 1913.
The results are unofficial and do not include absentee ballots.
