Mild and dry, yet windy weather is expected today in St. Lawrence County with a weekend warmup likely leading to a mix of rain and snow, according to the National Weather Service (NWS).

Highs today will be near 43 with mostly cloudy skies and winds 13-17 mph and gusts as high as 30 mph, NWS says. Overnight the low will be around around 40 with wind gusts as high as 33 mph.

Additional rounds of precipitation are likely during the weekend and early next week, with a mix of rain or snow across the St. Lawrence Valley at times depending on elevation and temperatures near freezing.
