MORRISTOWN - The grand opening and open house of the new Al & Illeane Ames Youth Outdoor Education Center at the Black Lake Fish & Game Club, 1 Gilmour Rd., will be Saturday, Dec. 9, from 1-4 p.m.
The center is meant to be used and enjoyed by kids, families, and community members with a focus on shooting sports and making a connection with the great outdoors.
There will be a ceremony at 2 p.m.
Light refreshments will be served.
There will be door prizes, one-day only special 2024 membership pricing, donor tree recognition leaves, shirts and more.
The center will feature an indoor archery range with youth & adult leagues, and a DryFire indoor trap simulator (a first in St. Lawrence County & surrounding areas).
An air gun range is in the works.
