CANTON -- State Police charged Robert F. Horton II, 19, of Gouverneur with violating probation. Troopers said Horton was in possession of a muzzleloader type weapon.
Horton’s terms of probation included that he is not to possess any weapon.
State police located the muzzleloader in Horton’s possession and it was seized.
Horton was arrested and charged with criminal contempt second-degree and a probation violation.
He was released with an appearance ticket returnable in the town of Gouverneur court on March 21 at 11 a.m.
