GOUVERNEUR -- In celebration of Halloween, Gouverneur Library will host a variety of spooky events.
• An adult story hour will be held Oct. 12 at 6:30 p.m.
• A celebration of the life and work of Ray Bradbury will be held Oct. 19 at 6:30 p.m. Guest speaker Frank Palumbo will discuss the significance of Bradbury's work.
• A Fright Night Double Feature will be held Oct. 26 at 5:30 p.m. for kids and at 8 p.m. for adults.
• An Evening with a Ghost Hunter will be held Tuesday, Oct. 30 at 6:30 p.m. Mary Lajoie, a paranormal investigator for twenty-nine years and host of The Shadows of Ogdensburg Ghost Tours, will discuss some of her adventures as a ghost hunter, as well as local and national ghost stories.
• A costume contest for kids and adults will be held Oct. 31. Showtime is 4 p.m. One prize each will be awarded for the best costume--one for kids and one for adults. Children twelve and under can come to the library any time after school for trick or treating, but costumes are required.
