GOUVERNEUR - The Gouverneur Hospital Auxiliary (GHA) recently donated a “Pediatric Crash Cart” and eight Care-e-Vac Portable Aspirator machines to Gouverneur Hospital.
The Crash Cart was purchased for use in the ambulatory surgery department, and the Portable Aspirator machines replaced outdated units and were placed on existing Crash Carts, and one is being utilized for emergency preparedness.
The money to purchase the equipment was made possible through GHA fundraising efforts, including the Annual Golf Tournament, Antiques in the Park, Wreath Sale, Holiday Sale, The LifeSaver Gift Shop, and Book Cart. Community support of these events, membership dues and donations to the Auxiliary allow the organization to enhance Gouverneur Hospital.
The Auxiliary is seeking new members, volunteers, and ideas.
