OGDENSBURG -- The Friends of the Ogdensburg Public Library and the Ogdensburg Garden Club are working together to host a Funfest in Library Park July 23, from 11 a.m.-2pm.
This event will be held in collaboration with Fred’s Wild West BBQ at the Frederic Remington Art Museum.
Free events planned include petting zoo, Cubby the Clown, storyteller, storywalk, crafts for children (painting rocks and making picture frames), a coloring table, face painting and a barn quilt demonstration and much more.
For the Funfest, events that will require tickets are: a Bounce House, Bean Bag Toss, Fish Pond game, Snow Cones, and Popcorn.
The tickets will be 50 cents each, three for $1 and 15 for $5.
There will be a Star Wars/Angry Birds Quilt raffle.
The quilt is twin size and home made. Tickets will be $2 each and 3 for $5 for this quilt. There will be a barn quilt raffled called “Red Sails,” designed and painted by Nancy and Jim Misenko. It is 1 foot square. Tickets will be $1 each or six for $5.
The Friends of the Library Annual Summer Book Sale will be open in the Library’s auditorium. Prices range from 25 cents for a paperback book to $1 for a hardcover.
Proceeds from the Funfest and book sale will support the continuation of programs at the library.
The block of Washington Street between State and Caroline streets will be closed from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. during the festivities.
