WINTHROP -- The Whitten Family of Winthrop started a new seedlings business this year planting untreated seeds in Vermont organic compost, and they are offering free seedlings this Saturday, June 9, while supplies last.
The “freedlings” that will be available include delicious and old German tomatoes, tendergreen brocolli, Brussels sprouts, dill, cilantro, and swallow eggplant.
Interested gardeners can visit their farm stand about 10 miles from both Potsdam and Massena at 1101 County Rt. 49 in Winthrop.
