North Country Tai Chi is offering free lessons from Jan. 5 to 17.
Sessions will be at Pickens Hall in Heuvelton and the Canton First Presbyterian Church Fellowship Hall.
In Heuvelton, intermediate classes will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Basic classes are 11:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.
In Canton, intermediate lessons will be 7:55 to 8:55 a.m. and 5:15 to 6:15 p.m. Basics are 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.
The group’s instructor, Sean Boutin, says tai chi is a preventative practice in traditional Chinese medicine.
