OGDENSBURG -- The Salvation Army is offering a free food distribution to residents in Ogdensburg, Lisbon, Morristown and Heuvelton every Friday at 401 Franklin St. in Ogdensburg beginning at 1 p.m.
Food is provided through a partnership between the Food Bank of Central New York, Renzi’s and The Salvation Army.
Provided food includes 60 pounds of meat, dairy and produce.
There are no eligibility requirements for this program.
Participants are asked to line up on Greene Street wrapping onto Caroline and Knox.
Distribution is done via drive thru with participants entering the parking lot via Greene and exiting on Franklin.
Law enforcement asks participants do not block drive ways.
Further food assistance is available for residents through The Salvation Army’s monthly food pantry and weekly soup kitchen.
Individuals and families may call Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m.-12 p.m. to schedule a pantry pick-up or delivery and Tuesdays 9 a.m.-3 p.m. for a soup kitchen pick-up or delivery (Ogdensburg only). The office can be reached at 315-393-3351.
