OGDENSBURG -- The Frederic Remington Art Museum has received a grant from the Northern New York Community Foundation’s Youth Philanthropy Council.
The grant will support free classes for students on the local artists whose work is included in the museum’s collection.
Students in grades six through 12 can learn about artists Charles Chapman, Sally James Farnham, Frank Raymond Rosseel and Frederic Remington.
Students will visit the museum to see original artwork and explore the histories and work of the artists. Students will create their own artwork based on artists’ works.
The classes will take place in fall 2013, but exact dates have not been selected.
To sign up for the series or for more information call Lauren Gilmour, museum educator, at 393-2425.
