POTSDAM -- The Potsdam Chamber of Commerce Town/Gown Committee has added Foxy Roxy’s Diner as the October nominee for the 2010 Pride-In-Potsdam award.
Foxy Roxy’s, 124 Market St., is owned and operated by Roxanne and Lynn Smith, Sr. They bought the diner in 2008 from the former owner of Caroline’s Diner.
Smith says, “We have undergone major changes since taking over in May of 2008. We are newly remodeled, repaired, and re-equipped to make everyone’s visit a pleasant one. We continue to improve our appearance, our cleanliness, our speed in getting out orders, and our food quality. We even offer vegetarian items.”
Their website, www.foxyroxyspotsdam.com, has their menu and the specials of the day as well as information about booking parties.
“The chamber committee noticed these improvements and wanted to recognize the commitment and effort that Foxy Roxy’s owners and employees have made to their restaurant and to Potsdam as a whole,” stated committee chairperson Rob Bicknell.
The Pride-In-Potsdam program is designed to encourage merchants in the Village and Town to maintain and improve their properties. Each month a business will be added to the nominee list from which a winner will be selected and then announced at the Chamber’s annual dinner Nov. 10.
