AKWESASNE -- Four Franklin County residents are jailed on first-degree burglary charges stemming from an alleged May 3 home invasion.
Shaquanna J. Latney of Malone, Bradley Mulverhill of Constable, Timothy Ropas of Malone and Kiesha Wasenahawi Diabo are all being held on the charge at the Franklin County Jail, Malone, in lieu of $50,000 bail, according to St. Regis Mohawk Tribal Police. Their ages were not released.
Police said the four allegedly broke into a residence at 15 Christine Lane, Akwesasne and assaulted three occupants with a baseball bat.
Two of the alleged victims were treated for injuries at an unspecified hospital, tribal police said.
State troopers arrested Latney on Sunday. On Tuesday, investigators from tribal police and the Franklin County District Attorney's Office tracked down Mulverhill, Ropas and Diabo in Owls Head, where they were taken into custody without incident.
If convicted, the four could each face a maximum sentence of 25 years in state prison, which is the maximum penalty for first-degree burglary.
