Major Paul M. Jacques, Ogdensburg native, son of Phillip and Paula Jacques, recently assumed a new assignment with the Alaska Army National Guard as a Senior Tactical Director of the Ground-based Midcourse Defense (GMD) system.
The Ground-based Midcourse Defense (GMD) element of the Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS) provides Combatant Commanders the capability to engage and destroy Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) threats in space to protect the United States.
Major Jacques also received the Defense Meritorious Service Medal for his recent 3-year tenure with the Missile Defense Agency.
He currently resides in Delta Junction, AK with his wife Laci and two children.
