CANTON -- 114 runners and walkers braved the elements for the first Frozen Foote event of the winter recently.
The temperature never warmed above zero degrees Fahrenheit during the race. Shawn Spriggs finished in first place with a time of 23:51. John Kennedy was second in 24:34, followed by Roy Porter in 26:02. The women’s race won by Steph who was the first woman across the line in a time of 26:26. Kristen Betrus and Shondel Boyden were second and third with times of 26:42 and 26:55, respectively.
