LISBON — First Congregational United Church of Christ will host "Planning Ahead: Celebrating Your Life," a free 1.5-2 hour session open to the congregation and the wider community, on Wednesday, Oct. 7, at 10 a.m. at the church's community center, located at 9226 Five Mile Line Road in Lisbon.
Led by Pastor Kathleen J. Hyde, the workshop invites participants to think through and document their wishes for a funeral or celebration of life — well before a family The workshop will cover what can be included in a service — scripture, readings, music, tributes, eulogies, and personal touches unique to the individual — and will give participants guided time to complete a take-home planning template they can share with their families.
