NORFOLK -- An accidental fire at 1364 County Route 38 Thursday evening caused extensive damage to a building.
Norfolk firefighters and rescue personnel responded to the blaze around 8:15 p.m. and were provided mutual aid by firefighters from Massena, Madrid, West Stockholm, Norwood, Louisville and Brasher, according to St. Lawrence County Fire Investigators.
The cause of the fire was reportedly accidental, but details were not provided, fire officials said.
The fire caused an extensive amount of damages. The structure was reportedly uninsured.
The property owner was reportedly Allen L. Bush.
Waddington and West Potsdam Fire Departments were on standby.
