AKWESASNE – The Akwesasne Mohawk Casino will be honoring a famous rock legend Saturday, Aug. 13 when it holds its first ever Elvis Fest, beginning at 11 a.m. through midnight.
The event will feature souvenirs and entertainment throughout the day.
The highlight of the Elvis Fest 2011 will be the Flying Elvis's who will be arriving in grand style after parachuting from a plane thousands of feet above.
Four skydiving Elvis performers will be landing in the Akwesasne Mohawk Casino parking lot at approximately 3 p.m.
Elvis entertainment will begin at 11 a.m. in the Native Harvest Buffet and will continue every other hour until 10 p.m.
Starting at 1 p.m., the first 2,000 guests that arrive to the Casino will receive a complimentary Elvis gift.
Joe Angerosa's Elvis Revue will be paying tribute to The King of Rock and Roll from 9 p.m. to midnight in Rapid's food court.
