CANTON -- The St. Lawrence County Industrial Development Agency will loan $368,000 to Atlantic Testing Laboratories and Eggleston Trucking.
Atlantic Testing, based in Canton, will use $218,160 to buy Geoprobe drilling equipment. The IDA says this will lead them to add two full-time jobs.
The company has 10 offices around New York. They do subsurface investigation, water-based investigation, geotechnical engineering, environmental services, special inspections, construction materials testing, pavement engineering, and nondestructive testing services.
Eggleston Trucking of Hermon will use up to $150,000 to improve their storage yard, replace an old trailer and “provide working capital for business operations,” the IDA said. This will create two jobs.
Eggleston Trucking “provides service to a number of local firms, including Cives Steel in Gouverneur and Losurdo Foods in Heuvelton,” a prepared statement from the IDA says.
“These projects help two St. Lawrence County-based firms to strengthen and grow their local operations,” IDA CEO Patrick J. Kelly said in the statement. “Both companies are not only providing direct employment growth, they also work with and support many other firms and projects in the region.”
