EDWARDS -- An Edwards man was charged with felony weapons charges following an altercation in which he menaced a man with a hunting knife and stabbed a wall, according to state police.
Alexander M. Handschu, 28, was charged with two counts of second-degree criminal possession of a weapon: loaded firearm, second-degree menacing: weapon, criminal mischief: intent to damage property and second-degree harassment: physical contact, officers said.
Police seized several weapons including a glock model G36, .45 caliber, glock model 21c, .45 ACP, a six-inch buck knife and a Springfield Armory, M1 Garand, officers said.
He was arraigned in Fowler Town Court and remanded to St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility on $2,000 bail and $4,000 bond, officers said.
He is to reappear in Fowler Town Court Oct. 14 at 4 p.m.
Troopers listed his status as held.
