EDWARDS -- An Edwards man has been charged with menacing and assault after allegedly striking his sister and threatening his niece.
Barton D. Bishop, 54, 28 Ames Rd., is accused of third-degree assault and menacing.
Deputies allege that during an altercation with his sister Elizabeth Bishop, 61, of the same address, Bishop struck her in the back of her head and, and when the sister's daughter, Christine Royce, 39, of Maple Avenue, tried to intervene, Bishop allegedly threatened her with a pipe wrench.
Barton was arraigned in Russell Town Court and released.
