CANTON – An Edwards man allegedly found asleep inside a running truck in a stranger’s driveway Wednesday has been charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated, according to St. Lawrence County Sheriff’s Deputies.
Deputies responded to a call from a resident who lives on U.S. Hwy 11 between Canton and Potsdam, saying there was a white pickup truck parked and running in his driveway. Deputies said they found Phillip G. Parker, 38, 1809 St. Rt. 58, Edwards, asleep inside the truck.
A test performed on Parker found his blood alcohol level to be .22 percent, nearly three times the legal limit of .08, and over the .18 threshold for an aggravated charge.
He was released on appearance tickets for Canton Town Court at a later date.
