RUSSELL — Edwards-Knox Central is reporting that one of their students has tested positive for COVID-19.
School officials made the announcement Thursday on the district website.
“We are pleased to report that all 162 results from the mobile testing site last week have come back negative. Thank you to everyone who proactively sought testing to help mitigate the spread in our community,” the statement said.
“Unfortunately, I must also report that we have been made aware of a positive case among our students. It is our hope that because we have been fully remote for two weeks there will be limited spread to others in our school community, and we are currently working closely with Public Health to assist in the contact tracing process,” officials said.
The school reopening committee was expected to meet Thursday to assess results from the community survey and discuss options for a hybrid model moving forward.
