Union College shot 55% from the floor as it earned an 83-62 win over the St. Lawrence University men's basketball team on Friday evening in the Viniar Athletic Center. The Dutchmen, led by Keven Donohue's 28 points, are now 18-3 and 7-2 in the Liberty League while the Saints fell to 4-3 in league play and 6-10 overall.
Sophomore Brady Condlin led the Saints with 18 points and junior Janpeter Brase scored 10, while junior Payton Stahler had a game high seven rebounds and added nine points. St. Lawrence shot 38% for the game. Both teams finished with 31 rebounds.
St. Lawrence led 15-14 with 13:20 left in the first half before the Dutchmen went on a 17-2 run in the next 7:55 to open up the contest. Union took a 45-29 lead into the intermission. St. Lawrence got as close as 11 at 50-39 with 14:08 left in the second half, but the Dutchmen then went on a 9-0 run with 12:34 left to put the game out of reach.
St. Lawrence will travel to Troy, NY tomorrow to take on RPI in a Liberty League contest.
