OGDENSBURG -- The state Department of Transportation (DOT) will host a public information meeting from 6 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 7 on a proposed project to make repairs to the Route 37 Bridge over Rt. 812, State Street, in the Town of Oswegatchie.
The meeting will be held at Ogdensburg City Hall, 330 Ford St.
The Department is presenting information regarding the project, which will address deterioration of the Route 37 bridge at Route 812. Repairs are expected to include the replacement of the bridge deck and minor structural rehabilitation work.
The bridge is expected to be closed to traffic for approximately four months during construction. During this time, an off-site detour will be employed. Construction costs are estimated at $975,000 with work to occur during the 2012 or the 2013 construction season.
The purpose of this meeting is to obtain comments on the proposed project from individuals, groups, officials and local agencies. The Department is specifically soliciting comments on the proposed traffic control plan and comments on the project’s social, economic and environmental effects.
