Donald S. Johnson, 70, Ogdensburg

OGDENSBURG -- Funeral services for Donald S. Johnson, age 70 of Ogdensburg, will be held at 1:00pm on May 17, 2024 at the Fox & Murray Funeral Home with Brother John Youngblood officiating. Burial will follow the service at the Calvary Cemetery in Norwood.

Calling hours will be held also on Friday May 17, 2024 beginning with calling hours at 11:00am until 1:00pm at the funeral home. Mr. Johnson passed away at his home on Friday (April 5, 2024) surrounded by his family and friends.

Surviving are three brothers William (Patti) Johnson of OH, John (Dorothy) Johnson of MI, Kevin (Laura) Johnson of GA; three sisters Mary (Thomas) Beckelhimer of Syracuse, Shirley (Gary) LaPlante of Ogdensburg and Karen (Kevin) Madill of Heuvelton; his companion Kathy Beaulieu of Ogdensburg; special friends Mike & Debbie Durham of Ogdensburg; a brother in law Thomas Williams of Ogdensburg; along with numerous nieces, nephews & cousins.

He was predeceased by his parents Stanley & Mae; his wife Ann Johnson; two brothers George & Carl Johnson; a sister Carol Bouchard and a brother in law Mark Williams.

Donnie was born on November 7, 1953 in Ogdensburg, a son of the late Stanley & Mae (Langley) Johnson. He attended Ogdensburg Free Academy for his education, and was later married to Ann E. Williams in 1988.

During his career he worked as a cleaner for ARC and US Customs until 2014 when he retired. He enjoyed playing bingo, socializing in the community center, dining out, riding his bike, visiting friends at NYSARC and family gatherings.
