CANTON -- A Cornell Cooperative Extension pre-season direct marketing workshop will help farmers who sell from their farms April 4 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.
It will be at the learning farm, 2043B State Highway 68.
The workshop will cover how to brand a farm and its products to catch consumer attention and build buyer loyalty.
It will include a discussion on marketing chickens and poultry products.
The workshops will update growers on the Food Safety Modernization Act laws and the latest development in farmers market consumer programs such as the EBT/electronic benefits transfer payment system and the FMNP nutrition program assistance for women infants, children and senior citizens.
