HERMON -- St. Lawrence County sheriff’s office is investigating a robbery they say happened around just after 1 p.m. Thursday at the Hermon Community Bank branch, Church Street.
They say a white male entered the bank and displayed what appeared to be a silver handgun and demanded money be put in a black backpack.
The suspect then fled to the north, towards Main Street, investigators said.
He was wearing a dark blue Carhartt hooded sweatshirt with the words Carhartt in white letters down the left sleeve, blue jeans, white sneakers, and a black cloth mask over his face.
Detectives say he is considered armed and should not be approached.
They ask anyone who can help identify the suspect to call 315-379-2222.
